After a day of mentoring the teams and listening to their practice pitches I got to watch them pitch to the judging panel. The quality of pitches was great, just five minutes, with five minutes of tough questioning from the judges who included Karen Dare from Communify, Cameron Burgess from Uncompromise, Nick Barter from Griffith Uni, and Louis De Beer from TranistCare (who thinks that ‘human beings are capitalists by nature’ – would love to hear him expand on that one!). SS48 is a great concept and well worth exploring if it comes to your city and you’d like to get into social entrepreneurship.
